A resolution is a motion that has been approved or passed by the board of directors during a planned board meeting.

How to Write a Resolution

Follow these steps to write a resolution:
  1. Include a date, time, and if applicable, a resolution number at the top of the page
  2. Document all sub-topics of the resolution
  3. List the names of board members voting on the resolution
  4. Require the board president to sign and date the resolution
