OnBoard, the leading board management software solution for effective board directors, announces the hiring of Denise DeThomas as Chief People Officer and Martyn Chapman as Chief Product Officer.
“We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Denise and Martyn to the OnBoard organization,” said Paroon Chadha, OnBoard’s co-founder and CEO. “Denise brings a wealth of experience and will accelerate the quality of OnBoard’s people strategy and help drive the company forward by elevating and advocating for our employees. Martyn is a great addition to our leadership team. His hands-on strategic experience in product development and board governance will be invaluable as we move to the next level and beyond.”
DeThomas successfully implemented people operations and talent management strategies across a variety of organizations and industries. She will support OnBoard’s continued growth in the rapidly expanding board management category.
Chapman will oversee the development of the OnBoard and eScribe platforms, utilizing his vast experience in board governance development that spans more than 15 years, including the launch of the BoardPad governance product. Chapman then led the strategy for Nasdaq’s Boardvantage and Director Desk products and launched Nasdaq’s Center for Corporate Governance.
A subsidiary of parent company Passageways, OnBoard and its sister product platform, eScribe, a Toronto-based public sector meeting management tool, have grown steadily since a $100 million investment in 2021 from JMI, a private equity firm that specializes in scaled growth for software solutions.
“I am excited to join the leadership team and call OnBoard my home” DeThomas says. “I am digging in with the experienced leadership team to create programs that will enable the company and its people to continue growing and foster successful talent.”
“I am thrilled to be a part of OnBoard’s mission to provide an innovative platform for secure, intelligent, and organized board effectiveness,” says Chapman. “The global changes spurred in the recent past highlight the necessity for board-led organizations to use technology that enable boards and their directors keep communications secure from cyberattackers as well as keep up with the skills and tasks needed to perform their jobs better.”
