Governance of the Future – Getting your MAT board ready

What is the future composition of MAT boards?
How can your Leadership Team be better prepared for what the future holds? The need to measure and monitor Leadership Team skills and competencies is essential to plan for and implement an effective training and recruitment programme. But what is the most effective way to optimise School governance?

Effective MAT governance relies on having the right people round the table, with the right skill set supported by appropriate training. Therefore, it is becoming increasingly important to have processes in place to monitor Roles, Skills and Term Limits, so that gaps can be quickly identified, and future recruitment or training requirements addressed.

Key issues addressed:

  • Having the right people round the table
  • Using data to monitor and track leadership teams skills
  • Clear insight for implementing effective succession planning
